SalesWings allows you to organize your leads automatically through:

  • Segments
  • Tags


Think of Segments as a group of leads who fit the same profile or behavior. Using segments, you can also run other automations such as tagging, lead assignment, scoring, and else.

You can create a Segment in your settings including a set of rules:

Behavior of Segments:

  • All leads who match the rules within a segment, will automatically enter that segment
  • Once the rules no longer match, they will exit the segment
  • New segments and their automations are also applied retroactively for existing leads
  • Segments are not shown on the lead level on the cockpitΒ 

How should you use Segments:

  • Put leads into a target segment which you may export and use for targeted marketing
  • For example: All people interested in a product category, an event, a job position, visiting a country's / territory's sub-website, a partner offering, etc.
  • Linked to segments you can auto-assign leads to people inside your organization, send custom notifications to your team, and more.
  • To trigger workflows using Zapier


Tags are another way to filter, segment and organize your leads. You can apply tags through segments.Β 

Behavior of Tags:

  • When adding tags through segments, the tags are also applied retroactively for existing leads
  • Tags are shown on the lead level on the cockpit
  • To trigger workflows using Zapier

How should you use Tags:

  • To show your team quickly on the cockpit what leads are interested in
  • To quicker qualify leads when looking at the cockpit
  • To spot interesting leads faster
  • To trigger workflows using Zapier

PS: You can add text, and emojis, to tags (copy emojis here and paste them as tags in the Segments)
