Version 2.0 introduces a new Salesforce connection and optional Bring Your Own Model (BYOM). After upgrading from an earlier version, an administrator must connect the org before users can resume using the SalesWings AI Sales Assistant and Copilot.

Before upgrading
Identify the administrator who will complete the upgrade and confirm they have SW AI Sales Agent Admin.
Tell users that chat will remain unavailable until the new connection is complete.
Record the current Preferences and Contexts settings.
Existing permission assignments and Contexts are retained.
Preferences are retained when upgrading from version 0.6 or later. When upgrading from an older version, Data Sensitivity Level resets to Public, Internal, and Uncategorized and must be reviewed after the upgrade.
Connect after upgrading
Open the App Launcher and select SW AI Sales Agent Settings.
Select Connection → Connect.
Complete authorization in the popup window.
Return to the settings page and confirm that the status is Connected.
Open a configured record and send a test message.
If the popup does not open, allow popups for your Salesforce domain and try again.

Disconnect affects the whole org and prevents chat until an administrator reconnects it. It does not delete conversations or BYOM settings.
Review the configuration
After connecting, review:
Preferences → Chat User Scope
Preferences → Guardrails
Contexts → Account Context Fields
Contexts → Lead Context Fields
Contexts → Opportunity Context Fields
If you upgraded from a version earlier than 0.6, restore the intended Guardrails selection before users resume using the SalesWings AI Sales Assistant and Copilot.
Validate the upgrade
Confirm that:
Connection reports Connected.
Preferences and Contexts were reviewed.
The SalesWings AI Sales Assistant and Copilot loads on a supported record.
A standard test conversation succeeds.
If BYOM is enabled, a new BYOM test conversation succeeds.
Administrators know how to respond to Needs reconnect.
BYOM is optional. Configure it only after the standard connection test succeeds. See Configure Bring Your Own Model (BYOM).
