SalesWings Falcon lets you take full advantage of Event Properties by using them to build lead scoring rules, segmentation criteria, and dynamic audiences. Here's how to configure Event Properties effectively in Falcon.

Step 1: Understand How Event Properties Work in Falcon

Event Properties are not visible to sales reps, nor are they sent to Salesforce—but they are fully actionable in Falcon. They can be used to create:

  • Tags (e.g., “Watched High-Value Video”)

  • Scores (e.g., +20 points if video duration > 5 min)

  • Action triggers (e.g., “Send to nurture if downloaded whitepaper”)

Falcon considers all historical values of Event Properties. That means if a lead performs an action multiple times (e.g., watched 5 different videos), each event property value is stored and can be matched by your criteria.

Step 2: Access the Falcon Configuration and configure your Event Property

  1. Login to SalesWings Falcon

  2. Go to the Event Properties section

  3. Click to create a New Event Property. You need to define a name, description, type (Numeric/text/Boolean) and an ID.

Step 3: Add Criteria Based on Event Properties

  1. Choose “Event Property” as your rule type

  2. Select the property name (e.g., “Video Duration”, “Campaign”, “Product Name”)

  3. Define the operator and value:

    • Text: contains, equals, starts with, etc.

    • Numbers: greater than, less than, equal to

    • Booleans: is true, is false

Example:
If you want to tag leads who have purchased a product for more than 100$, configure:

  • Event Property: Purchase Price

  • Operator: more than

  • Value: 100

Step 4: Save and Apply

Once you've configured your rule, save it. Falcon will automatically apply it to all historical and future matching leads.

Best Practices

  • Use specific property names consistently across events

  • Combine Event Properties with Custom Events for smarter logic

  • Avoid overly complex conditions that require manual maintenance
