Event Properties in SalesWings are key data points that provide additional context about a Custom Event. While a Custom Event tells you what a lead or account did (e.g., “Watched a Video”), Event Properties explain the details of that action—like the name of the video, how long it was watched, or which campaign it was part of.

Event Properties help marketers and sales teams build a much richer and more precise picture of lead engagement and intent.

Why Are Event Properties Valuable?

Event Properties unlock deeper insights by:

  • Adding context to engagement (e.g., which product was purchased)

  • Improving scoring and segmentation by using detailed criteria

  • Powering audience creation and reporting in a more granular way

While Custom Events track behaviors, Event Properties allow you to qualify, sort, and react to those behaviors in a smarter, more customized way.

Examples of Event Properties

Here are a few examples to show how Event Properties work in practice:

Custom Event

Event Properties

Watched a Video

Video Name (text), Duration Watched (seconds), Campaign (text)

Made a Purchase

Product Name (text), Purchase Amount (number), Promo Code (text)

Clicked an Email

Email Campaign (text), Clicked URL (text), Subscription Status (true/false)

Each Event Property adds a layer of intelligence to the action, which can be used for scoring leads, triggering workflows, or segmenting audiences.
