To safeguard all SalesWings user accounts against password breaches, a security feature has been implemented. It's possible for an attacker to eventually figure out a user's password through repeated attempts. However, this feature ensures that after five unsuccessful login attempts, the account will be locked. This protection applies to all users.

Usage

On the login page, after the wrong password for the same e-mail address is entered five times, the following error message is displayed:

"This account is locked because of too many failed login attempts. Reset your password to log in again."

Any further login attempt (successful or not) will fail.

Recovery

In the event that a user forgets or incorrectly types their password five times, their account will become locked. To regain access, they will need to reset their password.

To reset the password:

  1. Open the reset password form (coming from either the link in the error message or the login page)

  2. Enter the e-mail address for the lost password.

  3. Click on Reset Password to receive an e-mail with further instructions.

  4. Click the link in the e-mail, which opens a new page in the browser.

  5. Enter a new password (Twice for Confirmation)

  6. Click on Reset Password

  7. Log in with the new password

Please note that password reset links expire after one hour. If the link fails to work, you'll need to restart the password reset process.
