Due to major enhancements and refactoring, this needs to be performed by clients who are currently upgrading to version 1.28+ for an existing installation.

1) Turn the Engine Off

  1. Before proceeding with the upgrade it is preferable to turn the engine off. To do so, go to the SalesWings Toolbox App, Rule Center, and toggle the engine OFF.

2) Install the latest version

You are now ready to install the new version. Get the installation links here.

3) Turn the Engine On

After proceeding with the upgrade, you can turn the engine on. To do so, go to the SalesWings Toolbox App, Rule Center, and toggle the engine ON.

Optional Updates

Very important note: The workbench steps need to be performed after the installation.

Global Workbench is a web-based tool that provides a Salesforce Administrator/Developer with a series of feature useful for exploring/debugging/deploying to a Salesforce instance.

Performing Non-Automatable package upgrades

Certain package components cannot be upgraded automatically (for a list of what is upgradable and what is not read Components Available in Managed Packages). When that happens the custom either has to perform some certain changes manually or it can use Global Workbench to push a series of changes defined in a change set, that is a zip file containing instructions on what to upgrade or delete.

To perform a change set upgrade do the following:

  1. In the top menu bar, navigate to migration > deploy

  2. Choose the set zip file called "6-0-toolbox-upgrade.zip".

  3. Tick Ignore Warnings, Rollback on Error and Single Package. If deploying to a Production org (not required for a Sandbox) select RunSpecifiedTests for the Test Level and type: swscore__RuleExecutionPlanTest

4. Press Next

5. Press Deploy

If the operation was successful it means all the changes have been applied.
